The Issue…

President Nixon started the War on Drugs in 1971, and it has since brought mass incarceration, unequal treatment of people of color, increasing rates of drug-related crimes, and prison privatization. Since the mast legalization of recreational and medical cannabis consumption and sale, little has been done by the government departments to rectify the injustices caused by their War on Drugs. Many individuals are still in prison for non-violent drug-related crimes, and those who have been released face many disadvantages due to their time and case.

What are we doing to Help-2_edited.png

We at Cannabis at USC believe that no one should remain incarcerated for cannabis-related crimes that are now legal. We are fundraising for the Last Prisoner Project, a non-profit organization working to end the injustices in America's cannabis prohibition and the War on Drugs. The funds will support those recently released, incarcerated individuals and their family members.
